Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a client's team in Scottsdale, AZ. The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic team environment that fosters continuous learning and offers a fun, engaging workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain payroll for over 600 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform timely and accurate data entry for all internal check requests, external vendor invoices, and bank deposits.
  • Manage all accounting aspects for assigned locations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance in Sage Intacct software.
  • Maintain financial reporting within accounting software, ensuring data integrity.
  • Process invoice payments and manage check distributions efficiently.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reconciliation of all deposits to ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Prepare and submit monthly journal entries to support the monthly closing process.
  • Prepare final reconciliation between the accounting system and Cash Log before Monthly Closing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with accounting and payroll software.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with general ledger postings, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in Sage Intaact and Excel, including Pivot Tables and V & X LOOKUP.
  • Experience with payroll processing for a large employee base, specifically in Arizona and Texas, is a must.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 1st shift.
